Heal what has been holding you back and build a life worth living.

R&R Counseling PLLC is a safe place to connect and reach your goals.

At R&R, we believe healing happens through rupture and repair.
These are the foundations of our relationships—with others and with ourselves. Rupture is inevitable. We hurt, we get hurt, and we live in a world where disconnection happens.

Repair is where change begins.

When you learn to take responsibility, set boundaries, forgive, and reconnect with integrity, something shifts. Healing becomes possible. Hope returns.

Through experienced, compassionate therapy, R&R helps you face what’s been broken, strengthen your capacity for connection, and build a life that feels meaningful and whole.

Do you get stuck in the same cycles?

  • Desperately wanting connection, but fearing others when they come close.

  • Spending all your energy focused on what you eat and how you look, yet still not feeling ok.

  • Self harming to manage pain.

  • Struggling to eat, sleep, and keep up with your daily life.

  • Feeling increasingly disconnected from your family because you just can’t communicate with each other.

  • Avoiding school or work and growing more isolated.

  • Using substances to self regulate, but feeling out of control.

Hey, I’m Joy and I can help

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing since 2019. I earned my BA in Medical Humanities from Baylor University and my MA in Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. In addition to working with clients, I supervise counselors in training and teach graduate counseling students—work I love because it keeps me connected to learning and growth.

My style blends insight with practical tools so therapy feels both meaningful and useful in your everyday life. I draw from approaches like IFS, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, attachment-based, person-centered, and family systems therapy. I especially enjoy working with foster and adoptive families, members of the queer community, and youth navigating high-risk behaviors.

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and exploring what brings you in. We’ll talk about your hopes for therapy and make sure this feels like a good fit. I’ll have questions to help me understand your story, and I warmly welcome any questions you have for me, too.

In-person and telehealth options
