I draw from a variety of theories and modalities when working with clients, which in the mental health field is called an eclectic approach. I have specific post-graduate training in DBT, TF-CBT, CAMS, Attachment theory, family systems, and IFS. I also draw from CBT, ACT, Narrative, and existential therapies. I work with individuals as well as families. I do not provide couples counseling but am happy to refer you to a trusted colleague.

This is an important and reasonable question. As I am often prone to respond- the answer is: it depends. Some clients meet their goals in a few sessions, most need to meet regularly for six months to one year to make and sustain progress, and some need longer term therapy to address more complex concerns.
I strive to be transparent about progress and timelines throughout treatment. We will collaboratively check in on your treatment plan regularly to make sure we are aligned in what you are needing and how you are progressing.
